Condor Group make a watch brand called ‘Royal London’. The brand suffered from virtually nil brand awareness despite many years advertising in glossy magazines pre Christmas. They were in danger of being de-listed and needed to create increased brand awareness that lasted in the consumer’s mind all the way to point of purchase in the shops. |

Thinkmedia devised a ground breaking solution that is a media first in the UK. We approached TalkSPORT with a proposal for them to create live time checks by their DJs sponsored by Royal London. This activity was then negotiated and ran from Oct 2004-Jan 2005. This was backed up with the DJ’s receiving Royal London watches to wear as well as on air competitions for listeners to win Royal London watches by texting in the guessed number of Premiership goals on Saturdays. We also set up a sponsored clock on the TalkSPORT.net website and co branded Royal London watches with sponsors of TalkSPORT time at point of sale to reinforce the positive association. |
